CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
While I still need to conduct further research into multimodal composition, affect theory, rhetorical empathy, and antiracist pedagogy, I am hopeful that once I gain more knowledge in these areas, I will become more confident that multimodal composition is the way to go if we want to instill rhetorical empathy in our students.

What I am sure of today, however, is that multimodal composition is an antiracist pedagogical move in itself. Considering that no one person has the same learning style preference and considering that there is no one "right" way to compose texts, multimodal compositions opens up the doors to more equitable learning for all.
​
That being said, in the future, I will do my best to expand on the assignments I proposed and implement them in my own first-year writing courses.
